The Challenge
You are Thor, son of Odin, wielder of Mjolnir, god of thunder. Word has reached Asgard that the giant Thrym has stolen your hammer while you slept. Without Mjolnir, the giants grow bold. Frost creeps toward Midgard.
Thrym's messenger arrives with terms: the hammer in exchange for Freya's hand in marriage. Freya's rage shook the halls of Asgard at such an insult.
Now you stand at the Bifrost with Loki at your side. The trickster has a gleam in his eye that usually means trouble, or cleverness, or both.
"Well, Thunder God," Loki says, "we could storm Jotunheim and tear it apart until we find your hammer. Or..." He grins. "I have a more amusing idea."
Behind you, your chariot awaits, pulled by the goats Tanngrisnir and Tanngnjostr. The path to Jotunheim stretches before you, cold and treacherous.
